Trails

The Williamstown Rural Lands Foundation is active in maintaining numerous trails in the Williamstown area on property it owns or helps manage. WRLF also has a detailed Trail Kiosk located at Sheep Hill, 671 Cold Spring Road (Route 7 South from Williamstown). Summaries of each trail are at bottom, with links to much longer descriptions and maps. Hiking times given are generous, with plenty of time for enjoying the views along the way.

  1. The Pine Cobble Trail
    Moderate to strenuous, 2.1 miles, 2 hours. Hiking
  2. The Chestnut Trail
    Moderate, 1.5 miles, 1½ hours. Hiking, skiing, snowshoeing

    Two short, scenic walking loops. Hiking, skiing, snowshoeing
  4. The Fitch Memorial Woodlands
    Easy to moderate, 1.8 mile, 1 to 1½ hours. Hiking, snowshoeing, skiing for experienced skiers
