Involvement
Office
The WRLF needs volunteers to help put together bulk mailings - newsletters, event announcements and other publications. This is generally on an on-call basis five or six times a year. Other office help might be needed on an occasional basis.

Events
The WRLF maintains a presence at many local and community events. Volunteers staff tables, hand out maps and other information, and answer questions about the work of the WRLF. This is a great way to learn more about the WRLF while educating others. We are also looking for volunteers to help with programs and fundraising events.

Committees
The WRLF is always looking for people interested in the organization who might like to be on one of its committees. Committees consist of a mix of Board members and volunteers, and carry out a significant portion of the WRLF's work, such as membership development, events and program planning, and property evaluation. Non-board committee members often go on to become board members of the WRLF.

Trails
The WRLF hosts a number of trail workdays throughout the year to open new trails and to keep existing trails maintained. These workdays are fun and provide an opportunity to visit some of Williamstown's special places.

If you are an avid hiker, you might be interested in adopting one of the WRLF trails. Trail adopters keep the trailhead areas free from litter and debris, keep information boxes stocked, and survey the trail from time to time to take care of minor maintenance.
