Ways to Support the WRLF:

Membership

Supporting the WRLF through your membership is an excellent way to sustain and shape the high quality of life we enjoy in Williamstown. By joining the WRLF you not only help to preserve our natural resources and scenic beauty, you also make it possible for the community to take advantage of the WRLF’s conservation services, area trails and the fun, cultural and educational programs and activities at Sheep Hill. The WRLF is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and all donations are tax deductible.

If you would like to join the Williamstown Rural Lands Foundation, please click the following link to fill out a membership form. Once you have completed the form, please print and mail the form to our address. Thank you (click here)!

Volunteering

A great way to learn more about the WRLF is by volunteering. The WRLF welcomes volunteers to guide hikes, maintain trails, help out in the office, garden, write for our newsletter, serve on our committees, represent the WRLF at community events, and assist us during events (or anything else you'd like to do that would fit your schedule!).

Appreciated Securities
As you contemplate your Annual Membership or Endowment gift to the WRLF, please consider a gift of appreciated securities. Gifts of appreciated securities that have been held for more than one year are eligible for a charitable income tax deduction for their full market value. In addition, if the securities have appreciated in value since you acquired them, you can completely avoid the capital gains tax you would incur if you sold them. So your actual cost of giving may be less than that of an equivalent gift of cash.

If you would like to find out more about such a gift, please call us for more information.
